Little Elm continues to thrive with a wave of business activity and development shaping the town’s future. This year has welcomed an exciting mix of new additions to Little Elm, including ACE Hardware, Thai in Town, Uptown Cheapskate, Lakeside Bar & Grill, Jamba & Auntie Anne’s, and Dutch Bros. Each of these businesses brings its own unique value—enhancing everyday convenience, expanding dining and retail choices, and contributing to the town’s growing sense of vibrancy and local character. The Cottonwood Creek Marina Ship Store also reopened, located next to the community’s newest amenity—Cottonwood Creek Park. Nearby, Leo’s Brunch House introduced a new patio addition, further enhancing the vibrancy and appeal of Little Elm’s lakefront experience.
Several existing businesses have transitioned under new ownership, such as Capriotti’s, Poached Brunch House and Jimmy’s Big Burger, signaling renewed investment in the area.
Looking ahead, residents can expect even more options with Chipotle, Golden Chick, TJ Golden Bowl Swig, Waffle House, and The Crab Station Oyster Bar coming soon. Major retail anchors like Kroger and Target are in various stages of planning and development, promising long-term benefits to the town’s retail landscape.
Residential growth is also booming. Spiritas Ranch, Ladera – a 55+ Community, as well as several new up and coming Townhome and Condo developments are adding new housing options, supporting the town’s rapidly growing population and diverse community needs.
And it’s not just about development—Beard Park is bringing families together with summer programming like the new Story Book Walk, blending literacy, recreation, and outdoor fun.
As Little Elm evolves, our commitment to preserving the town’s lakeside character and strong sense of community remains at the heart of everything we do. With thoughtful growth and new opportunities on the horizon, we’re focused on creating places and experiences that reflect what makes Little Elm so special—welcoming, connected, and uniquely ours.
