Council Member Jamell T. Johnson has lived in Little Elm since 2019 with his wife Dr. Dominique Johnson and their son, Isaiah. They relocated to the Town of Little Elm after college from Indiana. When looking for a place to stay, they couldn’t help but admire Little Elm’s small-town feel and growth potential. He immediately became involved by completing the Citizens Government Academy, working with local nonprofits, and later being elected as the youngest Council Member in the Town’s history.
Johnson earned his B.S. in Criminology from Ball State University and an M.J. In Business Law from Loyola University Chicago School of Law. He served in the military for roughly ten years and was fortunate enough throughout his military career to be both enlisted and later commissioned as an officer.
Johnson is in his first full term on the Town Council and 2nd year as Mayor Pro Tem. He served(s) on numerous boards around the county.
Council Member Johnson is a proud member of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc.
