What Does the Little Elm Economic Development Corporation Do?

Many people may have heard of the Little Elm EDC but are unsure of what we do in Little Elm. The EDC works with the Little Elm Town government  to expand the economic opportunities in our Town. We work for the people of Little Elm to ensure the Town continues to grow and thrive. Here are a couple of the things we do to make sure Little Elm continues to be one of the fastest growing towns in America.

Attract new businesses: Little Elm is the ideal location for businesses. Our prime location near the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex, Lake Lewisville, and many major interstates and highways make Little Elm a great place for new businesses to relocate or expand to. Our Town is also one of the fastest growing areas in the nation, so there are plenty of people to fuel the workforce for major companies. The Little Elm EDC talks with businesses that are interested in the Little Elm area and works with them to put together packages that meet their wants and needs.

 Improve the Town: Because Little Elm is growing at such a rapid pace, changes need to be made in order to accommodate the growth. The EDC improves the town through projects meant to better serve the people of Little Elm. One such project is the Eldorado Parkway expansion. This expansion will help shorten commute times and create a better flow of traffic through one of Little Elm’s main roads.

Get the word out: Little Elm is a haven for people who enjoy the simplicity of a smaller Town with the convenience of larger cities just minutes away. Little Elm is rapidly expanding and growing, but we make it our business to ensure everyone knows about the great things happening in our Town. We do this by going to conferences and meeting with other economic development corporations, talking with corporations and businesses, and learning the best ways to promote our Town at different events and conferences.
