The Little Elm Economic Development Corporation was selected as a recipient of the Texas Economic Development Council’s annual Economic Excellence Recognition program for 2018. The award was presented on Thursday, February 21, 2019, at the TEDC’s Legislative Conference in Austin, Texas.

The Economic Excellence Recognition program provides recognition to economic development organizations that meet a desired threshold of professionalism. Recipients qualify for recognition based on training taken by their governing board/council as well as the economic development director and professional staff. Certifications, professional memberships, activities, and organizational effectiveness of the economic development staff also contribute to the standards for qualification.

The Little Elm EDC is just one of just 51 of 700 Type A (EDC) and Type B (Community Development Corporations) organizations to receive the award for 2018. Learn more about the Little Elm EDC here.
