Quik Trip will open its newest store in Little Elm on Thursday, July 26, 2012, at 6 a.m. on FM 423 across from RaceTrac and Kroger Marketplace.
The Little Elm location boasts a new and larger floor plan, known as the Gen3 Design, which features a coffee and smoothie bar where residents can order customized drinks and treats on the touch-screen registers as well as the food and drinks it’s known for.
General Manager Mike Sofia has been working for Quik Trip for 15 years and is excited to open in Little Elm. He hopes residents will enjoy the store layout and state-of-the-art drink station.
“This store represents our future,” Sofia said at the ribbon cutting event on Wednesday.
More than 20 people were present for the soft opening and listened to Sofia give a brief history of the company. Quik Trip is consistently one of Fortune’s 100 best places to work, and Sofia attributes that to the company’s family values.
Quik Trip was started in Tulsa, Oklahoma, by Chester Cadieux in 1958 and the Cadieux family still owns and works for the company today.
Quik Trip held a ribbon cutting event Wednesday, and interim Town manager Doug Peach welcomed Sofia and his employees to Little Elm.
“We’re excited about Quik Trip coming to Little Elm, and we wish you much success,” Peach said.
